
Chocolate and Butter Cake Bars with Vanilla Glaze

Ingredients:
For the Brownie Base:
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup cocoa powder
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
For the Butter Cake Layer:
½ cup butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ cup milk
For the Vanilla Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

Make the Brownie Base: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Spread into a greased baking dish.

Prepare the Butter Cake Layer: In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla, flour, baking powder, and milk. Gently spread over the brownie layer.

Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.

Prepare the Vanilla Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bars.
