Fall head over heels for this rich and creamy Marry Me Chicken! Perfectly seasoned chicken thighs simmered in a luscious garlic butter sauce with a hint of Cajun flairโitโs so good, youโll want to make it again and again.
Ingredients
6 chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless)
Olive oil
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Cajun seasoning
Black pepper
Paprika
Italian herbs
For the Sauce:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Fresh parsley or basil, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
Season the Chicken:
Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
Rub both sides generously with olive oil, then season to taste with onion powder, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, paprika, and Italian herbs.
Sear the Chicken:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 3โ4 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3โ4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sautรฉ until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the skillet.
Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 2โ3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Cook the Chicken:
Return the seared chicken thighs to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the chicken.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20โ25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF/74ยฐC).
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
