Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- ¼ cup chopped green onions (optional)
- 6–8 sandwich buns or hoagie rolls
Instructions
Cook the Chicken:
- Place the chicken breasts into the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle with ranch seasoning mix and pour in the chicken broth.
- Top with the softened cream cheese.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
Shred and Mix:
- Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
- Stir well to combine the cream cheese and juices into a creamy mixture.
- Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions (if using).
- Cover for a few more minutes until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
Assemble the Sandwiches:
- Toast the sandwich buns or hoagie rolls if desired.
- Scoop the creamy chicken mixture onto the buns.
