Butter Cake
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup milk
Instructions:
Prepare the oven and pan: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a round pan with butter and sprinkle with a little flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
Beat the butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs: Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition to achieve a fluffy texture.
Add the vanilla: Add the vanilla essence and mix well.
Mix the dry and wet ingredients: In another bowl, sift the flour together with the baking powder. Add this mixture to the batter little by little, alternating with the milk, and mix gently until you have a homogeneous, lump-free batter.
Pour into the pan: Pour the mixture into the greased pan and smooth the surface with a spatula to make it even.
Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, remove from the pan and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
