CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PORRIDGE
(A delicious treat)
INGREDIENTS :
80g of oatmeal
400 ml of milk (or vegetable milk)
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons of peanut butter.
2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
A pinch of salt.
Fresh fruit for filling (bananas, strawberries, etc.) )
Nuts or seeds for the crunch (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1: PREP THE PORRIDGE
In a saucepan, combine oatmeal, milk, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Bring the boiling mixture to medium heat, stir regularly.
STAGE 2 : COOKING
Once the mixture begins to boil, reduce the heat and let to simmer for about 5-7 minutes, until the oatmeal is tender and the mixture has thickened. Stir once in a while to prevent it from sticking.
STEP 3: ADD THE PEANUT BUTTER
Remove skillet from fire and incorporate peanut butter and honey or maple syrup. Mix well until everything becomes homogeneous.
STEP 4: SERVE
Pour the porridge in bowls and top with fresh fruit and nuts or seeds if desired. Serve it hot.
