Chocolate Cake Filled with Cream
A dream come true for chocolate lovers! This delight has a spongy sponge cake and a cream filling that will make you want to repeat.
Ingredients
For the cake:
• 5 tbsp. of sugar
• 5 tbsp. of flour
• 2 tbsp. cocoa
• 1 tbsp. bitter cocoa
• 1 sachet of yeast
• Butter to grease
For the cream:
• 200 g cold cream
• 4 tbsp. icing sugar
• 2 tbsp. cocoa
• 3 drops of vanilla essence (optional)
Preparation
Prepare the cream:
Beat the cold cream with the icing sugar until thick. Add the cocoa and vanilla. Mix well and store in the refrigerator.
Make the cake:
• Preheat the oven to 180°C.
• Beat the eggs with the sugar until you get a foamy mixture.
• Little by little add the sifted flour, cocoa and yeast. Mix with enveloping movements.
• Pour the dough into a greased mold and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Assembly:
• Cut the cake into two layers.
• Fill with the chocolate cream.
• Decorate with more cream, cocoa powder or chocolate chips.
