Apple and Cinnamon Cake
Soft, fluffy and full of the irresistible aroma of fresh apples and cinnamon! Perfect to accompany your coffee or tea.
Ingredients
For the cake:
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup melted butter
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup of milk
• 2 fresh apples, thinly sliced
For the topping:
• 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 tablespoon melted butter
Preparation
Preheat and prepare: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a mold and reserve.
Mix the dry ingredients: Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl.
Integrate the wet: In another bowl, mix sugar, melted butter, eggs and milk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until you obtain a smooth dough.
Place the apples: Pour the dough into the mold. Arrange the apple slices on top of the dough in a decorative pattern.
Topping: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Drizzle over apples.
Bake: Cook for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
