Instructions
Prepare the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, egg, and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 8 minutes until smooth.
Let It Rise:
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape the Donuts:
Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Use a round cutter to cut out donuts and a smaller cutter for the center. Place on a lined baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
Fry the Donuts:
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry donuts in batches for 1-2 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
Make the Glaze:
